There are two games
that defy everything else: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. Combine
two of the greatest games ever and you get Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2x (THPS2x for short.)
With levels from THPS1 and 2, in addition to three new ones, this is shaping up to be a
videogamer's dream. It's hard not to like the THPS series, and this just adds on.
First off, is what you can do with Xbox graphics wise. This skateboarding game looks
great, at 60 frames per second without a hint of pop up or slowdown. So the old levels
look great, but that's not all. They've been expected too, and new areas are now
accessible in the levels. Some of the THPS2 levels are even combined with those from
THPS1! It's great, and you can even do new tricks in the old levels. But that's not all...
There are a lot of extra things that you've been wanting that our now here! Female
create-a-skater option is there, and the park editor is just as expansive. You now longer
have the limited memory card space thanks to the Xbox's hard drive! Feel free to make the
ultimate park and save it right to the system. The hard drive opens up many new features,
plus extremely fast load times. A custom music track can be yours, as you can rip songs
from your favorite CD right into the system. *drools*
4 player action is also here now, plus the possiblity of online play. If not, you might
still be able to enjoy 8 player LAN matches, so get ready to invite friends over this November.
